Join for another very LIMITED ATTENDANCE (30 guests) Adventure Kelowna/Hike The Okanagan original as we buckle down for an evening at Josh's in East Kelowna for our final event of 2025. WE ONLY HAVE 3 SPOTS LEFT of 25.

A spectacle unlike anything we've had before. Please dress to impress as this is a classy, mature, event where photo-ops will be abundant. You must register for a free account on adventurekelowna.com and RSVP under the events section to attend to acquire the address.

While this is event, as always, is at my own cost, I ask that you please consider donating to the family we're sponsoring in the Philippines. Every bit helps the family recover the devastation caused by the recent onslaught of typhoons, and also live day to day.

==> FOOD & BEVERAGE <==

Due to the cost of this event, I won't be providing food or drink. Please consider eating beforehand and possibly bringing your own potluck item to share — please, please, do if possible. Please also list allergens on your food item.

==> SCHEDULE OF THE EVENING <==

1) Guests arrive at least 5-15 minutes prior to 5 pm, and need to check in on the guest list in the backyard prior to be allowed access to the main house (go around left gate). Please ensure to park at least 3 meters away from all other driveway entrances on the street. And also out of respect for the neighbourhood, please keep outdoor noise to a minimum. If you're late, you miss some of the events, but arriving at 5 pm is not mandatory.

2) At 5 pm through 7pm, join in the dining hall for a live caricature artist to do a portrait of yourself!

3) Also at 5 pm, compete in the living room in a Free Mason/Indiana Jones/Ancient Egypt/Secret Society puzzle game. Guests will work as a group to solve a number of challenging puzzles to unlock the Cryptex in the middle of the room while live a Indiana Jones-esque performer strums guitar instrumentals. Indiana Jones' girlfriend "Willie Scott" from Temple of Doom gives hints to players. Game ends at 6 pm or whenever the cryptex is solved.

4) Between 6pm and 7:30pm: Enjoy live performers such as a contortionist, fushigi crystal ball show, and LED dance performer. Contortionist is at 6:40 pm and 7:20 pm.

5) At 7:45 pm, a backyard professional fire dancer duo for 20 minutes.

6) Finally, wrap up at 9 pm with a famous local magician as he does a roving show room-to-room in the house.

7) 10 pm: We begin wrap up and take down at 10 pm. As we've been rolling since 5 pm, please arrange a safe ride home for this time. Absolutely no overnight guests permitted. We have a FaceBook event as well, so if you need car pooling, please ask on the event wall.

And yes, you read that right. At my house? I've been hosting free social events for the Okanagan and Calgary since 2011. Most of the events are out and about from wing nights, hikes, shows in town, billiards, but every once in a while, I open my doors to host something more unique and also remove the financial barrier for those unable to attend commercial events.

I've always been on the lookout for a professional venue we can use where guests don't have an obligation to order food or drink, and local churches have repeatedly turned us down as we're not a religious group. We don't operate on a for-profit model, so there's almost no budget. But if you do have a kind heart, and a free or very low cost venue we can use in 2026, please reach out. Our other events include things like board game night, paint night, karaoke and on.

Alcohol is NOT provided. Absolutely no illegal drugs of any kind. There is a designated smoking area in the backyard at the Lord of the Rings table with orange umbrella.

THIS IS NOT A HOUSE PARTY. This is a mature event for adults (or adults 25+ with their kids). Unruly guests will be immediately asked to leave. We've been doing this for 15 years now and very seldom have ever had to ask anyone to leave, so please don't be one of the few.
