Skating / Hockey in Kelowna
Outdoor Ice Skating: In Stuart Park located on the waterfront in downtown Kelowna is a fantastic new outdoor ice skating rink with refrigeration for a long outdoor skating season. The rink is lit up with seasonal lighting and music for late evening skating with family and friends.
Indoor Ice Skating: Kelowna has a few ice skating rinks in the local area. Prospera Place is the home rink for the Kelowna Rockets Hockey team that play in the Western Hockey League. In the downtown area is Memorial Arena hosting lots of minor and rec hockey games. Out in the Mission area is the Capital News Centre that host minor hockey games and tournaments, rec hockey leagues and public skating. The Rutland Arena has public skating, figure skating and hockey programs. Royal Lepage Place is the home of the Westside Warriors and is located in West Kelowna in the Mount Boucherie Community Complex. This complex also has a second rink attached called the Jim Lind Arena hosting public and figure skating events and lessons.
